Belfast Landmarks

Status: Test entry

X-plane version: 8.x+

About:
Scenery package of landmarks around the Belfast area. Currently includes the cranes at the Harland and Wolff yards and Kilroot power station on Belfast Lough. Samson and Goliath are two gantry cranes in Belfast's shipyards. They were built by the German engineering firm Krupp and erected in 1969 and 1974. They are approximately 100m high and 140m wide and dominate the Belfast skyline. They are near George Best Belfast City Airport (EGAC) and are an excellent visual reference point. Kilroot power station's stack is 206m high and is the tallest structure in Northern Ireland.

The models were built in SketchUp and converted to OBJ format using Marginal's SU2XPlane plug-in for SketchUp. This package will be expanded in the future to include more landmarks.
